With year of the pig coming to an end, we welcome the year of rat this Lunar New Year 2020. There are several activities that we, as Chinese do to prepare ourselves for the Lunar New year. Before the feasting, Mahjong games and the yearly relative visits, we like to do what we call a spring cleaning that follows with buying & wearing newness from head to toe.
This symbolises that all the bad luck from past year is being swept away to make way to start a fresh, new lucky year. And as you’ve noticed, in wishing someone a Happy Lunar New Year – we revolve around the theme of LUCK as Chinese believe in zodiac & feng shui as a guide to avoid bad omen. A group of lucky colors is set based on feng shui, a centuries-old Chinese system that centers around the flow of energy, or qi.
One might call it being superstitious, but in all fairness, not only predicting your possible future is a good way to fulfil your goals & resolutions for the year, it is also super fun. After all, key to all happiness is not to take yourself so seriously sometimes.
In this edition of Luxe Montre Horology Highlights, we talk about your lucky colours for the year of Metal Rat in 2020 based on your Zodiac sign. And we shall all get *extra* LUCKY! ?? #HUATAH
